Week 2 Term 2

What a busy second week we have had!

Kiara-Leigh, Amber and Brianna came to our class to share Kiara-Leigh's great grandfather's Kit bag from WW1 and flags that he acquired in the war. They did a wonderful presentation and Ruru enjoyed learning more about the ANZAC's.

Dog Safety Visit - Amber the dog came to teach us about being safe around dogs.

Olivia is being Ambers responsible owner.

We also started our Get Set Go movement programme, this time learning about balance.

Term 2 Welcome Back

This term we have started to get into using our Junior iPads on a regular basis to support our learning in literacy and Numeracy. I was really pleased to hear how most of Ruru used Skoolbo in the holidays.
We have also begun using Seesaw learning journal to record our learning Ruru children are excited for you to see what they are doing at school.

We also use our class Mimio interactive board for many engaging activities, we especially love Kids Dance for fitness!!!

This term our Inquiry is Maumaharartanga – Why We Remember focusing on the ANZAC'S

We looked at some artefacts from WW1 and tried on an army hat.
