Term 2 Update

Dear Viewers of Ruru Blog, here is an update of the amazing things we have been doing in Ruru and Sacred Heart school. I have had some problems with my computer so was unable to upload pics and videos but that is all fixed now.

Term 3

Welcome back to school and to our new Ruru's.

Joining Ruru this term is some fabulous children from Tui class, we are excited for them to join Ruru's on the next step in their learning journey.

First Week Of Term 3

Our brainstorm of what we know about space.
 We are starting our Inquiry into the 'Night Sky' (Space). Over the next couple of weeks we will be having some fun activities for the kids to learn more about space.

Weeks 3&4

What a fantastic school cross-country we had last week. Well done to all the Ruru's who ran so well and did their best.

Ruru Prayer Circle



Triangle math group learning to partition numbers into equal parts.


Tom has 10 counters and separates the counters into 2 equal parts.

Caitlin has 6 frogs and 2 lily pads she needs to share the frogs into 2 equal parts.




We have 9 frogs and 3 lily pads - Oscar has worked out that each lily pad should have 3 frogs.



Anthony has put 1 frog on each lily pad - equal sharing.
